Troy von Troisdorf

Troy von Troisdorf is a beautiful, mild-mannered, 5-year-old, long-haired German Shepherd. Between his beautiful coat and big brown eyes, there’s so much to love. First, he’s a wonderful size, around 60 pounds, a touch smaller than your typical German shepherd so he seems to fit in anywhere he goes. Troy also goes by another name, Mr. Cruise Control.  Although he’s always so happy to go out with you, he shows wonderful leash manners.  The gentleman that he is, he lets you THINK that you have finally mastered the art of walking a dog when, in reality, it’s all Troy.  With a nice medium to calmer energy level, he enjoys walks but, after a fun outing, he settles nicely back at home. Absolutely adorable, but with a calm demeanor, Troy can come off a bit shy at first but, once he warms up to a person, he never forgets them. Troy seems to know to avoid trouble at all cost.  He recently passed his first cat test (see his pictures lying next to a cat kennel).  When it is his turn to go into the play room with other dogs, he does well there too. With proper care, his handsome coat is no problem; it has been said that long-haired shepherds shed less than short-haired. He is so patient while getting washed and brushed out that our groomer absolutely loves him.  Scrubbed. Dog-Friendly and he appears to be housebroken!  Troy is more than ready to leave the confines of the rescue for his new home.  He even has the go-ahead to travel out of state, so don’t hesitate to fill out an app to make Troy yours.
